Anyone hear U2's new song: Vertigo?

I listened to it, it has more of a lo-fi feel than U2's other sounds. It's interesting (better than R.E.M.'s new single - ugh).

I hate it. And I hate it even more after last night. WFNX, who supposedly was the first station in Boston to play it, played it 5 times in a row during their top 5 an 9. The DJ said #5 Vertigo, then he would play it. Then, #4 was some other song (some song by MUSE?), but instead playing that song, he played Vertigo, Then the #3 song was...well you get the picture....

My guess is that all these old bands only release new stuff when they need more money, hoping they can still cash in on their past success. It should be about the music...

In their case, I'm guessing it's just about finishing their contract. They certainly don't need the money.

Good song! It has a catchy hook

I heard the new song just now. Sounds like classic (as in the past 10 years) U2. Achtung baby/zooropa sort of stuff. The album is promising. U2 is the best band on the planet, so I plan on buying this one.

U2 is one of the greatest bands ever.

Just this morning I was listening to some of their old stuff, and then watching some concert they had in Sydney. (Then I watched the Beautiful Day Video, which IMO, is one of the greatest songs ever.) Always puts me in a good mood.

woah, you're right! I just sang that along with the chorus and it does kinda fit. But I like the U2 song better.

It rocks when you play it loud in the car driving down the freeway!
