lol....everytime they opened their months their my opinion of all of them went down the toilet moreso

The only guy who had a scientifically-justified point was the FDA guy, and you just KNOW he is getting paid off with all that rhetoric he was spouting out about how the testing is for 'sureveillance only' and how rigorous it is

Then the small farmer, who too his credit, was makign a decent argument about letting consumer demand drive the market ( "let the market drive itself") finalyl admitted that the test are mostly for show and rather inconclusive, finally capitulating to saying something along the lines of

"lets forget about the science for a moment...people want to be safe"

LOFL

I shut off the radio and went to class after that....

Yeah. It was really interesting seeing them gouge each others eyes out. Hoenstly, the fda had the better point, that the testing should remain valid, but another good point was made by the fast food nation guy, calling the FDA guys calls for less testing for the good of the people orwellian.

it was defintiely entertaining and very informative, although not explicitedly. You cound't take ANYTHING they said, except perhaps the host (he's pretty legit), at face value.

Basically, all their comments bordered on righteousness but failed miserably when it came time to question them.

Hmmm...I think it's time I researched the effects of eating the tainted meat before I eat beef again.

So now, if the beef is mad, and the chicken has the flu, I'll have to eat pork and fish? Good thing I'm not kosher, I guess.

Really, ok I won't bother to do the research then.

Holy misinformed!

The problem with birdflu isn't with the food supply as much as contracting it from contact with foul and then passing it person to person (hasn't happened yet).

With mad cow, humans can become infected with something similar by eating (I assume improperly cooked) beef.
