I picked up a JA AUDIO 5-piece speaker set (2xtowers, 2xbookshelf speakers, center) from ebay for next to nothing.. $80 shipped or something.. I figured they were crap but something for my parents to use.. We never set them up so they were sitting in my closet for over a year.. Then my logitech z560s computer speakers crapped out on me so I hooked up my old receiver, an old sub, and two of the bookshelf speakers from my closet.. I'm SHOCKED at how awesome they sound.. Great highs, nice mids... Really, really good for such cheap speakers.. Anyone know anything about this company? I lost track of the ebay auction but remember the seller mentioning that they OEM speakers for "major manufacturers"..

I think Stereophile reviewed a few of their speakers in the past...or maybe I've got them confused with another brand.

All I could find about them is this snippet on a current eBay listing:

"JA AUDIO. They are a leading manufacturer in the loudspeaker field with 20 years of experience. They believe in continuously upgrading their manufacturing techniques and embracing the latest technology to enhance product quality and act as a trendsetter in the loudspeaker industry. They have manufactured speakers for many well-known customers worldwide to great acclaim. They guarantee both savings on price and outstanding quality."

They could build speakers for JBL, Infinity, Polk, etc. People don't always know that many brand names ship their production process to third-parties. That's why I now know to avoid "designer" clothes because they are often make alongside lower-priced clothing.
