Saving up money to buy a mac mini and try it out. I was hoping to see a new update to it come out soon but haven't heard anything recently. Anyone hear any news of anything?

Yes. They're rumored to be part of the next Sandy bridge update. As early as next week.
 
My guess would be that Mini and iMac will be updated simultaneously. Early May looks the most promising at the moment so if you can wait, it should be worth it.

Intel HD 3000 is what you want to look at.
 
I sure hope it comes out soon, my boss is wanting to replace his desktop and I have convinced him to go with a Mac Mini just as soon as it gets a refresh.
