anyone having trouble finding games on mw2?

i got my xbox last night. played a few games without any problems. now it just sits there looking for players.

any idea?

Shouldn't be giving you any problems, I haven't played since earlier today but it was all working fine then... sometimes after a round it will get hung up as it tries to start a new game/map. But if you back out and search again it should work fine.

What is your NAT status on the left side? It should say "Open". If not, you will need to forward some ports on your router or put the Xbox on a DMZ.

NAT is open. haven't been able to play(only tried 4 or 5 times) until just a few minutes ago, it finally found a game. no lag.

god damn i suck. ordering kb/m adapter this week.

Start practicing w/the controller as those adapters are pretty much useless. I'd recommend you save your money and just stick with the controller.

I've got a XFPS 3.0 although I've never actually used it as a KB/M adapter. I bought it so I could use a PS2 controller for fighting games. Then I never bought any fighting games...

I don't have problems finding games very often. But I do have problems where our party gets disbanded all the time. 1 will get into a game, and the others won't. It happened 4 times in a row last night. Really irritating.

Why don't those adapters work well? Is it because they just mimic joystick controls or something?

my friends and I always waste so much time trying to get a party into a game. We realized last night that it matters who the host of the party is and whether or not he/she has NAT Open or Moderate. And what the other part members NAT statuses are. I am always Moderate despite having UPNP as well as forwarding ports to my 360. What gives?
