anyone having trouble checking out at amazon? nm, site seems OK now

been trying the last 15 minutes to checkout at amazon. i have 2 items in my cart and pressing the "proceed to checkout" button brings me back to the shopping cart page. tried using a fresh firefox profile and even IE, but same thing. i've bought from amazon for years now and this is the first i've had this.

something wrong with their site?

UPDATE: so as i'm going through the phone menu for the 800 number at amazon, the button magically decides to work again. very weird (and time consuming!).
