Anyone having probs getting work from the F@H servers?

About two weeks ago, I posted an identical thread; turned out I had my firewall set too tightly. All was fine up until about two days ago when I installed the latest 5.0 client.

All my boxes have finished their WUs, but haven't been able to turn them in, get work and I can't see the stats page.

Can someone enlighten me, please?
 
I'm also having trouble right now getting new work from Stanford. Just out of curiousity (it might be related to the problem, who knows), what ISP are you on? FWIW, I'm on SBC.
 
I have not had any problems getting or sending.

I use ZoneAlarm firewall. I have to give it the OK to allow a new program to use the internet.

MichaelD, you installed a new client, do you have to tell your firewall that it is OK for the new client to use the internet?
 
No problems here upload or download, but I am helpin out the seti team, only 2 machines sharing F@H along with seti so F@H wu's are real slow finishing right now.......
 
Hi guys. Magically, I got some WUs about an hour ago. Someone reading this forum has some POWAH! Good. Thanks, whoever you are. 🙂

Nope, don't have to tell the firewall anything...It goes by port, not app.

I have new WUs, but still can't contact the stats server.

BTW. QWest is my ISP. DSL.
 
Grrr. Finished WUs overnight and now I can't connect to the server again.

Two weeks ago, I put in a work ticket with QWest b/c I thought my line was slow, etc. They ran all kinds of tests (had me on the phone doing stuff with them) for an hour and all was well.

I'm wondering if it's my modem?

That's doubtful that it's a hardware problem on your end, but one never knows. Do you have problems accessing other sites while F@H is stuck (seemingly not, since you can post on the forums)?

FWIW, I managed to get a WU last night also. Haven't had any finish since then, so no idea if it's quit working again or not.
 
Well, I came home, same sh1t. I rebooted my DSL router. Tada. Now I can connect to everything again. :roll:

I have no idea...your guess is as good as mine. 😱 I'm crunching away again and can see the stats server. 🙂

Doubt it was a voltage surge as all my boxes run off quality UPSes.
