anyone having problems with msn messenger?

it keeps disconnecting but not telling me, i think im connected but when i got to send a message to someone or when i got to change my status it always says something like: cannot change yadda because you are not connected. and it asks me to re-log on. it dies every 30 mins to an hour. this is horrible!
