I know the Jasper hunter thread is dieing and i thought this new thread would be ok to ask and get any responses on, if those who own a jasper have had any problems...i purchased my PRO Jasper Mar.25 and no problems so far, the heat on the back vent seems more spread out and less of it then my Falcon Elite (which im still waiting to get back). It's more quiet EXCEPT the dvd drive, can get loud at times, especially when loading a game or movie. But if anyone has encountered any problems, my main concern is E74 which i got with my falcon, please update me....thanks

i recently received my xbox 360 red elite from newegg. been running it for about a week and sometimes i leave it on all day long without any issues so far. playing resident evil 5 and streaming Netflix HD flawlessly. wanted a black elite but couldn't find one that was a jasper, so i went ahead and got the red. it actually looks nice and grows on you.

Believe it or not the 360 has come a long way in terms of reliability. My Falcon rev.2 has given me no problems and I'm embarassed to say that I played Bioshock for 10 hours straight on it with no issues, I also frequently leave it on while I'm at class or out. You have the Jasper revision so you can only expect even more reliability. Just have fun with it, if it breaks it breaks, they'll replace it. :)

what I've noticed, and has given me some concern, is that the xbox will sometimes lose the connection to tv...the screen will go black for like a second and then go back on. I am using HDMI BTW. It seems to happen about once a week. I'm concerned because it could potentially get worse.

My old original non-HDMI 360 had this problem with certain games - Dead Rising being the prime offender. Didn't really seem correlated to when it finally gave up the ghost.

I too am a little worried. Very rarely (but every once in a while) the new Jasper 360 will freeze for just a moment (it's happened maybe 3 times in the 20+ hours I've played CoD 4 on it). The screen/sound will freeze for 1-2 seconds and then return to normal. Also, I joined a game and it seemed like the frame rate was cut in half for some odd reason.

Hopefully it's nothing big but we'll see...I never had these problems on my Zephyr console (which is still problem free).

Mine freezes also, but only 1/3 of the time will it resume after a few seconds or as long as 10 seconds. I thought it was just mine, but my buddy who I play often with says his freezes also. We just turn if off and on. Extremely annoying when we lose progress and didn't reach a save point yet.

It's a little hard to quantify, as I've had as many as 3 or 4 in one day and then go 3 weeks without anything. But I would say the freezing I'm getting seems more than the average.

I'm still on my Core Xbox 360 from 2006. I don't play it as much as you guys do, well now I do, I just got Fallout 3!
