for the last maybe 2 weeks ive had firefox die on me, someitmes it even locks up X completely. ive had a few noscript updates and am now on 1.8.9.2 and firefox 3.0.5

80% of the sites i allow scripts on it works fine, but then it locks up when i try to allow stuff and im about to turn it off entirely :(

anyone else having this problem?

I was having lockup issues in firefox 3.x as well, might of been 3.0.5. Whatever version came out a few months ago. I had to uninstall and reinstall 3.0 then disable updates, and I'm good to go.

Not sure if noscript was the cause or not though, but I do use it. It would usually lock up if I'm typing in a text area.

several. i have noscript, which (if you arent familiar with it) defaults to blocking java on every site (and from every site) unless told to allow it.

so lets say i hit theacc.com

try to allow and it freezes, or even locks X, so i have to kill something or everytihng to get it back. i had to try that site 3 times to get it to allow without dying. barenecessities.com (a friend was bra shopping) acted the same way. most sites work fine the first time.

Weird. I tried theacc.com and it worked fine. Maybe it's other plugin that is conflicting. Not going to try the other site since I'm at work.

I use firefox 3.0.5 with adblock plus, cs lite, firebug, noscript, ubuntu firefox mods, and web developer plugins.
