Anyone have Win7, but is just too lazy to install it?

Yep. I have 7 installed but not activated. I'll activate it when I figure out all of my tweaks, and software perfected. (Format -- reinstall everything perfectly -- activate -- ghost.)

The ghosting might be a pain though, since I have an SSD now, and the alignment might get screwed up. 🙁

Have it. Will not install it at this time. Desktop too old (Dell 8200 with 512MB Rambus RAM)
and my Toshiba laptop also only has 512MB of RAM (it is from 2002) so the hardware in it may not work properly with Win 7 .. Desktop also has Nero 6.6 and I will not pay for the latest, overbloated version just to upgrade the OS .. Same for some other programs that in all likelyhood, will not run on Win 7

I have been running the WIndows 7 trial for almost 3 months. Just got new hardware this past weekend and am going to be installing Server 2008 R2 (Win7 server OS'ified). Having a partition dedicated to each OS (Win7, XP, and Ubuntu) separate from the partition with all my games and stuff saved on it makes it easy to format and install.

I'm not frusterated enough with Vista (actually, have 0 problems) or have enough time to want to upgrade right now.

regardless of the ease of upgrading as well as my love for XPPro, we cant upgrade even to vista until all my software i use on a regular basis is at least working on vista. i still have older clients that dont want to pay for upgrading the software we supplied them, so they are stuck on XP for now. hence, i am stuck with XP for now as well.

Win7 Pro can install virtual XP. You can even have shortcuts on your desktop that run the XP program and only show the XP program running. It works quite nicely.

I've got 3 copies waiting to get installed. It's not that I'm too lazy but that I'm too busy. I'll be done with a house-remodeling project in a couple weeks (hopefully before Christmas) that will free up about 25 hours a week.

Bought it on pre-order to save money. Haven't installed it yet but I will be in the next two weeks or so. Been too busy lately to mess with backing up the files I need for the transition.

i got a not for resale copy of ultimate 32bit with a valid key. Anyway I can download the 64bit version and use the same key or no?

I have it, but I prefer Vista. I'll wait for Win8, or switch completely to Linux depending on my needs when the time comes.

Iceberg, your key will work with Windows 7 64 Bit Ultimate
I presume you got it at the Launch Event .. If so, Microsoft
should send you the 64 bit DVD (you may need to email them
and ask for it) ... I was at the event and did that and got my copy
last Tuesday from them

Send it to this person at MS: Juliana
