If you look near the top, right of the recessed area on the back panel of the computer you should see a tab-like lever. You press that, and the right side panel falls open from the top. (When I say "right" I mean the right side of the computer when viewed from the rear.) At least this is what I remember from removing the panel for a memory upgrade I did for a friend. Worse comes to worse you go to the Sony support site for the information. They post complete disassembly instructions for their systems.
