Built a system for a friend, and I was checking out his ram and I realized that the two sticks of 512mb twinmos pc3700 were not labeled as pc3700, it said pc3200 on both sticks. I'm pretty sure that he got sent the wrong sticks of ram, what do you guys think?

If he paid for 3700 sticks and got 3200... Its definitely wrong...

However, most PC 3700 is just overclocked 3500 with weaker timings..

:)

Yeah I'm aware of that, but it just bugged me that it said right there on the stick, pc3200

already filled out an advanced RMA form. Man I'm kind of pissed. I was trying to OC his 2.8c and p4c800 (cooled with a prometia I might add) and I would hit a wall at 3.4ghz, and I couldn't understand why. Now I know it was because I was assuming the ram could do 230 when it probably couldn't. ARG.

my pc3200 XMS can do 230 on the loosest(sp?) settings, twinmos pc3200 will prolly also do it

I didn't realize I needed it on loose timings, because I thought it was running stock at 230 :frown:
