I started to clean my car's carpets and upholstery today and the only stains I really couldn't remove were the rust stains. Does anyone have any tips for removing rust stains from a synthetic floor carpet? I snapped some pics, so I'll see if I can upload them somewhere for you to see what I mean.

Here's what it looks like (before and after cleaning up the calcium deposits)

Just pour grapejuice or blood on them.... should cover them up.

Actually though, I'm pretty sure they make a rust stain remover. I've heard of it being used in dishwashers, and for clothes... seems it'd work just fine for carpetting, but check an inconspicuous area first.

Good luck.

There is a powder called Iron Out, I use it in my laundry. Works wondering for removing rust from fabrics and pretty much anything else. I throw a scoop in my dish washer every month or so and it stays clean.

You can get woolite at any grocery store or walmart.
