I was just wondering if this game runs crappy because of my Video Card or RAM I have the 256 MB version of this card and 512 MB of Ram in Daul Channel. 2 games that run crappy are Doom 3 and Battlefield Vietnam.

If I got more RAM would these games run better or is my Video Card really that bad ?

Thanks.

I got the same card. I didn't know it at buying time, but the mem. is slow in comparison; at 223mhz.

What detail settings are you playing at? Try lowest first, and work your way up from there.

I don't change the settings

Well, you should. For each game you play, you may find that some will run fine at max settings, while others will be virtually non-playable at max settings. Always experiment to see what's most playable - that's what adjustments / sliders are there for. Otherwise, you may as well be console gaming.

My specs are. Abit NF7 S2 mobo
Sempron 2400 @ 2.1Ghz
512DDR400 D.C.
Above said video card.

I don't play newer games so much. It does seem like NFSU2 gets pretty choppy, but then Far Cry runs well at decent settings. Needless to say, that videocard was a mistake, and I wouldn't be surprised if your reasons are exactly that. Though I am willing to bet that, at least in my case, the proc. plays a factor in performance too.
Just keep your overhead processes to a minimum. Also, Doom 3 really needs at least 700+ megs just to run smooth.

OK I just tried BFV and set the video settings to low and it plays way better, does this mean it's my Video Card giving me the troubles ?

I believe I have this card. It was cheap, it had more ram, it was cheap cheap cheap. :p

Runs ok. I've played Doom3, Soldner, most new demos this month no problem. Can't bump it up into the super maxed out graphics settings, but that doesn't bug me.
