I have that tv. Its pretty good picture is clear. I have'nt really messed with the settings but it looks clear and its going strong after 2 years. Theres alot of websites out there that have optimized settings.

Cool. As I said, I am getting it for free, so I'm not too worried 😀

Be sure to get the matching Sony shelf nothing else matches it quite as well.

I dunno, I am gonna put this in my bedroom and I don't know where I can put the stand. I'll probably end up putting it on my drawer or something.

I have that TV, its pretty nice especially for the bedroom (where mine is). This is my 2nd unit though, the first one started giving me problems like static & popping (like if you were to pull the antenna cable out of the back and put it in real quick). I took it back and got this one in replacement and so far no problems what so ever.

my buddy has one and it's pretty sweet.

matching stand for an average consumer is gonna cost you like 100 bucks at cc.

definitely worth it tho.

It's one of those sites that gives you free stuff for referring friends. I'm not gonna post it here though, I don't wanna get banned 😛

Just choose whichever one needs to be upgraded the most.

Will get one of the TVs. Toshiba comes with a DVD player and a useless VCR but I guess the DVD player might come handy time to time.

Get the Sony tv man you can get a seperate dvd player for less then $40. Like you said the vcr is useless and the built in dvd player is probobly crappy.

i would go with sony since its bigger. you can tweak the settings to make the picture quality near like hdtv if u have a dish that is... (secret "bios" settings that you go under sony that has ALL the tweaks... forgot the remote button combos to get in) toshiba wouldnt be bad either... depends if ure a college student or for personal home use...

Well when I first got the tv the picture was really pink I found a website that had the best color and video settings and after I used those settings there was a huge difference.

Heres the site http://www.geocities.com/chuckster042000/WegaCalibration.html?979881353830
