Anyone have this sexy case?

It looks like it is mediocre in cooling with the front panel on, however by removing the panel during gaming / intensive use, it has decent performance.

A lot of cases with close fronts are like this. For example, my Be Quiet Dark Base 900 case is the same way. Whenever I do something CPU intensive, or play a long game of Civilization, I crack open the front door a few inches, and it drops my temps much like the P600S does in these reviews.

As long a person uses a quiet CPU cooler and quiet case fans (especially if the top panel is removed), it should be a pretty balanced case in terms of cooling and quiet.

Thanks that’s what I suspected, be quiet 601(?) & 900 are on the list too.
What are your thoughts on yours?

Reviews indicted they felt frail. No disrespect intended on your machine. Does your case feel sturdy?

I’m sort of concerned about a X570 chipset getting cool enough

I'm not sure what site said the Be Quiet case felt "frail", it is crazy big and heavy. It is made out of pretty thick steel, so it is extremely sturdy. While building with it, I the term "frail" did not enter my mind once. 😛

Outside of that, I really like it. It's very quiet, and I was able to install 3 x 140mm fans in the front. The only thing I didn't like was installing the power supply. Since the case is so modular, the PSU installation was more complicated than it needed to be. However, since power supplies last for a long time, it's not something a person would have to do more than once or twice.

Here's a thread I did when I switched from a Fractal Design R5 to the Be Quiet case: https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/be-quiet-dark-base-900-build.2555530/

Cool I’ll have to go thru that thread later today.
So far I’m thinking about a be quiet case or a fractal R6 and the linked case.

I was sold on the R6 until I saw one in person. 90 degree open door will be a pain and I am positive I will break that door after a few years.

I own two of the R5 cases (one purchased in 2015, the other one in 2017). I'm not sure if they changed the hinges for the R6, but I've had no issues with the hinges (or anything else for that matter).

Looks like a good case, looks similar to my antec p100. The open sides on the front panel provide sufficient cooling for me.

The hinge for the side panel is a really nice touch, those silent/quiet cases can be quite heavy and have really have side paneks which are difficult to align.
