thread on planetbattlefield forums
I have the same issue as this guy, difference being that it has never worked for me. One person in that thread posted to make sure that the mic isn't muted. Well it seems that BF2 is deciding to mute my mic everytime I join a game...more specifically when I join a squad (I'm pretty sure). I always uncheck mute in the windows audio control before starting....I have no idea why it's always re-muted when I quit BF2. Anybody with similar issues? Ideas?
...I'm beginning to think that this VOIP stuff isn't worth the effort/headache.
I want to use VoIP but every time i run BF2 it is turned off in the settings, so I turn it back on and test it and it doesn't respond. So I quit the game and check my mic. It works just fine, so I start the game and test VoIP again and it works(sometimes). The next day when I play it is off again. So to sum it up this is what I have to go through to use VoIP:
-start game
-click options/audio
-turn on VoIP and apply settings
-exit game
-start game
-click options/audio
-check VoIP setting
to make sure it worked
-click multiplayer
-choose an unfull server
-(server is full) choose another server
-(server is full) choose another server
-join game
-use VoIP
-discover that no one is using VoIP even though
they have it turned on.
-use radial-menu instead
