Anyone have this issue with Nvidia drivers/video card?

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem. I recently installed an XFX Geforce 6800 GT, PCI-E, with no installation issues. My mobo is the Chaintech Zenith Value Edition, nForce 4 Ultra chipset. Everything installed smoothly, but when I use the latest nvidia drivers, 77.72, video playback in any codec is distorted in Windows. However, when I go into the options in windows media player and turn down the hardware acceleration, the videos begin to work. When I changed drivers to 77.30, everything ran fine. I've also put stress on the video card by playing games with high resolution/details and it doesn't have any problems rendering in games. I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar problem or knows whether I should RMA my video card, or whether it's just the latest nvidia drivers? Thanks.
