Anyone have the Pioneer dolphin swimming cd deck?

I am talking about DEH-P7200 or DEH-p8200R. How you like em? My Clarion deck just bit the dust, and it was about 3 yrs old. I thought they were reliable, so I hope this one doesn't crap on me either. How much did you pay for it? Cuz I think the p7200 is around $280 these days. Thanx.

Pioneer makes great headunits but when I saw one of them in person I thought it looked dumb. I would buy another Pioneer in a heartbeat though.

I've had mine for about 6 months now. I still love it. Paid 275 for it. All pioneer decks sounds great. Better than most other brands. They are reliable and have a wide selection. You could stay under the $200 mark and still get a great cd deck. It's your choice.

I saw one at BestBuy running a city flyaround, looked kinda neat. Of course, I don't think staring at the display on your car deck is a good way to drive .

I own the model just above it - the 9200R. It is an excellent stereo and not just a gimmick. It definitely has a lot of features and I love it wayyy more than my older Kenwood Z919 (which plays MP3s) because 1. it sounds better 2. it looks cooler.

Anyhow, you might want to hold out for the Kenwood 828 - it's like the Z919 in that it plays MP3s, but it has a removable face plate and you can actually fast forward through songs.
