Anyone Have the new NEC 2470WNX Yet?

Curious if anyone has bought the new 24" NEC 2470WNX yet and how it compares with the Dell 2407 Rev A04? Limited to no user reviews of the NEC doing a web search - I guess because it's so new. It's in stock at Newegg ~ $779 as well as Dell.com for $815.

Wow, didn't even know this panel was in the works. Could very well be the 'holy grail' for 24" in the sub-$1000 price range. I'm sure NEC trimmed it down from their UXI line but quality should still be excellent. One thing I did see was the limited inputs, DVI and VGA only, so I'm not sure if this panel will have 1:1 pixel mapping support.

$815 from Dell is good news too, with a 15-20% coupon that would put it at a very nice price point. I'll be keeping an eye on this one for sure.

It's probably a PVA from the specs, and the fact that the IPS 2490 costs twice as much. It may still be better than some of the competing models though.

@chizow - I think it should definitely do 1:1. Check out the excerpt from the product description:

"...It features FullScan® Capability that allows you to use the entire screen area in most resolutions, significantly expanding image size..."

I generally prefer NEC to other brands due to overall quality and service/support. That's why I haven't just settled for the Dell. And where do you come across 15 - 20% coupons btw? I usually only get the 10% ones...

"...It features FullScan® Capability that allows you to use the entire screen area in most resolutions, significantly expanding image size..."

That sounds more like it will expand to aspect ratio, not 1:1

You could be right...though I would hope that on an $800 monitor and given the highly competitive environment with the Dell 2407 almost $200 cheaper that 1:1 is a standard feature.

NEC have recently announched the release of their new 24" LCD display, the 2470WNX. Part of the NEC 70 series, the screen utilises a Samsung S-PVA panel and offers 6ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 500 cd/m2 brightness and 176 / 176 viewing angles.

The screen is Vista and HDCP certified and also offers an impressive array of ergonomic adjustments, including height, tilt and rotation functions. The 2470WNX is available in silver and black models and is expected to be available from April 2007.
