Anyone have the NEC 3500a DVD burner?

I can't stand the Roxio software that came with this, and my Nero 6.3 does not recognize it (but an older 5.1 plain cdrw software does?)

Any suggestions as to what to use with this for DVD usage?

Edit: I just figured it out, I didn't restart the program (nero 6.3) after I installed it, then I tried to erase a RW disc, that is why it didn't recognize my burner. all is well, now it is time to play with DVD's 🙂
