I bought a GT Snow Edition for a build about 3 years ago. It was exactly what I wanted at that time:

SATA backplane for drives
Higher end ventilation
USB 3.0 and water cooling ready
Something in white - very tired of a black or gray build

No problems at all with the case, as it does a great job cooling my components. One thing I did find out is the 200mm tri-color case fans are verrry hard to find in case one of the stock ones goes bad.

I initially wanted to buy a Corsair H100 mounted on the top of the case to cool my 2500k, but went with the H80 so that I could maintain the existing 200mm fan on the top, and the H80 then vents air out of the back.

I paid $275 for it new, which is an outrageous sum when I think about any past cases I bought. Before the Level 10 GT, I bought an Antec P180b for $109, and considered that all I ever wanted to pay for a case. After seeing the Level 10 GT Snow Ed., I changed my mind and decided I could use the case for any future build due to its size and layout.

For the current price of the level 10 GT when all things are considered like the fact that it's a ready made case with no need to pay for extra fans etc it's not a bad deal I think. just makes me mad that there really is not allot of good quality cases on the market but allot of china made junk. Hows the build quality ?

Build quality is typical of Thermaltake cases, if you have ever owned one. The steel side panels were generally regarded as thin in a review that I read before buying mine, but I felt this was really not a valid gripe when that panel is never going to be taken off once the PC is built.

I will say that I had issues with a horrendous fan vibration emanating from the front fan. I emailed Tt but never received a reply. It drove me nuts for over 2 years before I bought a dremel and ended up removing a tiny sliver of steel from two corners of the metal fan shroud that covers the front fan filter.

I don't know a single other Level 10 GT owner who had that same issue, and no internet searches ever turned up that same issue except for in my case.

Most cases have flimsy side panels except the HAF X which is a shit ugly case with not great airflow IMHO. I don't know it's either Level 10 GT, A Lian Li, Silverstone or some other high end case but they all seem to have problems and trade offs.

HAF X with not great airflow? You doing it wrong. Besides just about every review saying otherwise, its name is literally High Air Flow.

I would NEVER recommend a lvl10 to anyone, unless u want that BORG type look.
There are better cases to accomplish every goal you may want from watercooling + noise reduction + long performance GPU clearance in other brands as well as give you a much cleaner cable route feature at a better price point.

And that is why no one can pick the case that YOU want. Nothing is as individualistic and personal as selecting a new case. When I did my case build, both Mfenn and Lehtv strongly recommended I avoid the Tt Level 10 GT Snow and offered several other cases, but I know what I wanted in regards to the case, and was open to suggestion on everything else.

I currently am really digging white cases - I bought 2 in the past 3 months, so I find that look appealing. I will not be building a black or silver case for a looong time.

aigomorla is correct in that cable management is not the Level 10 GTs strong suit, unless you have a modular PSU. I would ding it for that and that alone after 3 years of use. That and that annoying front fan clearance issue (that no one else has reported) and that Tt remained totally silent with no replies to my emails.

This is so true...

My perfect ideal case would use MERV 11 HVAC filters which u could swap out on 3 month basis to keep the inside completely dust free, and act as a room purifier at the same time.

It would need to fit several 120x4 radiators and have room for all my watercooling toys to fit inside.

:D

I remember when they wanted $900 for that junk, Oh now they trying to save there name by making quality stuff!! SMHH, should have been doing that 10 years ago. They do have some nice looking new products, I just wont be one dipping my toes as when you insult the very people who buy your items by selling something like that for that price you make it apparent to all what is most important and it's not value....There are some Quality cases at very rock bottom price.

There is a huge difference between the original Level 10 and the Level 10 GT.

The level 10 was basically an artistic creation by BMW designs. Using fantastic tech and design to completely compartmentalize all components. For what it was it worth 900 as a show piece. Though completely worthless as an actual case.

The Level 10GT is just TT taking a normal case and chopping and reforming a couple of parts to create something that looked the the original Level 10. Its a usable case, but doesn't look anywhere near as good as the original level 10. It's still not a great actual case design either (for the components not to get into aesthetics). But the highest it ever cost was about $300.
