I have an older version of this camera and love it. I am no expert in photography, but I have taken good photos with it and have been very happy. The camera is easy to use and has a lot of advanced features you can take advantage of as you learn to use the camera. If you get a good price, I recommend it highly.

One other thing - the only real drawback to this camera is that the view finder is hard to use in sunlight. I solved this by buying a shroud for it for <$20. e-mail me at home (mrwilding@hotmail.com) if you want to know where to get one.
