Anyone have the Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones?

In order to prevent myself from going to jail over my neighbor's music (it's not entirely her fault, the walls are stupidly thin), I've been thinking about picking up some QuietComfort 35s. Does anyone here have a pair? Are they really comfortable (like several hours of use comfortable)? Do they block out noise well? How about bass?

Any thoughts?

Personally, I would never use active noise canceling headphones. Your music will never sound as intended with active noise cancellation, actually it will vary based on what's going on around you.

Honestly any decent closed headphone will probably block out everything outside once you send a signal to them. If that's still not enough, get some IEMs. If that's still not enough, I would bite the bullet and go to jail.

Do you want a set just to block out noise? or to use to listen to TV and such in peace? Bass can be felt so I doubt that will help much. If she is pounding bass on the other side of the wall...you'll still feel it but if it were me I'd just file a complaint if it bothered me that much.

You might want to consider having your wall sound proofed with sound dampening drywall and insulation. Not sure if you are a home owner or not but that would make a big difference if you are in say a duplex or something.

A little but of both. Bass actually isn't the problem, I can hear her autotuned music and screaming parties through my wall. It was a lot worse, but I got her to turn it down. My loft is about 20' high with a concrete floor and shared piping and structure, so even normal noise comes through the walls. If she's playing her music at a fairly normal level in her apartment, it's so loud that I can't crank my TV up to cover it up.

It sucks, but it's better than it was. They'll let me out of the lease if I buy a house or get a new job out of town. I'll either ride it out or get a new job. 😛
