Just wondering how you all feel about this router and what would be the main benefits of MIMO over the cheaper Super G routers...Im a bit confused. I have a 2 story house and and plan to set it up in my basement and connect some wireless PCs on the 2nd floor and access the web outside in my back yard on my laptops........what type of speeds are you guys getting with your wireless routers?

any feedback?...I just returned my D-Link 624M Mimo and picked up the Belkin Pre N Mimo router but im not sure if there were any benefits for diving into the world of MIMO

I have a pre-N Beklin router, not sure what type exactly. It's the one that could theoretically reach 125Mb with the Belking wifi card. The latter I do not have since wifi was already built into the laptop (Acer 1500).

The router is situated in the meter closet together with the cable modem. As long as I am line of sight on the same floor I'm OK = 54Mb. Once I go upstairs or in the garden, the connection degrades and is eventually lost. I do see my neighbours router appear in available networks. Too bad he has it secured 😉

I don't know if it has to do with the construction of the house. It's all reinforced concrete.

The wifi adapter in the laptop is a Broadcom. I didn't know by that time that Broadcom is not the best (supported) gear around. Bummer! I am still considering another, better, wireless router. Maybe someone can give us a good advice.

Seen them but never used them. Didn't see the point. For standard Internet/Email usage they are pointless since most website aren't going to transfer pages at that speed anyway. But for transferring large files from another computer or a fast site, I would hope they'd yield much faster preformance. But the "Pre N" router have been out for so long, I'm wondering when they won't be "Pre" anymore or if they will never come to reality since no one else seems to be launching anything in that standard.
