Anyone have the 40" Sony Wega....

Picking mine up tomorrow eve. I like the matching stand, but the wife hates it. And this beast is huge. 43" wide, 26 1/8" deep, and 304lbs. Finding something nice, and reasonbly priced that can support this thing is tough without spending an arm and a leg.

Am I better off looking at pictures, then designing my own piece that is big enough for it?

Same, back when we carried the 40" XBR the stand was $2 at cost and we sold it for ~$500 IIRC

That's one HELL of a TV you've got there, and yeah, the matching stand is one of the nicest fits I've seen. There was a full wall-unit from...Sanus, I think...that was pretty nice, but it was $1800 IIRC.
