Anyone have steam WITH CACHE of v1.6 and 1.1.2.0?????

I have it on Waste...but my computer at home is off right now...

you could teach me how to h4x0r my router and boot up my PC with wake-on-LAN, and then teach me how to h4x0r my b0x0r with Terminal Services and type in my Waste password remotely, but that would take longer than downloading from another mirror...

You and about 100,000 other players are experiencing the same problem. You think converting an entire player base of dedicated HL fans to Steam would be a cake walk? It's going to be another 2 weeks before this thing clears up.

Yeah yeah blah blah, I just kind of figured since the file is so wanted that it would be mirrored other places than just fileplanet and fileshack. You're not surprised it's not?

It is weird... I downloaded it, and about 2 minutes later I was playing 1.6 (or at least, I think it was 1.6. It had those damn shields in it).

I downloaded the 394MB file off filplanet but when I try to connect to a server it says I need to download 350MB file, then I say OK and nothing happens...WTF is this chit?

It tells me CounterStrike will use 350MB Steam will now acquire all of the required content, I click install and not a goddam thing happens, what gives?

I'm having the exact same problem. I downloaded Steam, then when i went to play Counter-Strike, it told me that it had to download a 350 MB file... but then proceeded to do nothing. The same thing happens everytime... Steam doesn't download anything.

If you already have the file and have had problem.. i was in you same situation. Here's what I did:

Uninstalled/deleted all directories
did a clean install and everything.. deleted the old steam and installed the new one w/ cs patch in it. steam is still real buggy, and i had to do this a few times and it finally worked.

It is only 267MB but it has all the cache files u need to play CS 1.6 (trust me this is what I used and it worked.) Just copy the cache files into the appropriate folders (follow instructions in text file.)
