Do you like the service?
What are your average download and upload speeds?
Where are you at?
How much do you pay?
Would you recommend this service over adsl or cable?
Are you running any servers from your connection?
What service contract term did you accept? Monthly, 1 year, or 2 years?
Thanks. I hope this helps more than just me. :D

if you're able to get Ricochet in your area, you might want to check that out as well. i see TV commercials everyday, advertising the service for $44.95/month, with a 30-day money back guarantee. i believe it's only around 128kbps, but i heard reports of 1.5 mpbs and even higher. i was looking into getting Ricochet, since i can carry my laptop to the beach or wherever, and still connect to the internet.

my parents got it at home since we can't get any other DSL service up to our house.

my brother said it was downloading really fast but after that it seemed to taper off. i haven't been home to test it yet.

<< Do you like the service? >>

I like it much better than my dialup.

<< What are your average download and upload speeds? >>

In General: up to 100KB/s down, and up to 20KB/s up
For Newsgroups its slower around 25/15 , but web surfing is pretty fast.

<< Where are you at? >>

Colorado Springs, CO

<< How much do you pay? >>

44.95 / month

<< Would you recommend this service over adsl or cable? >>

I can't get DSL or Cable at my house, I got tired of the
telephone and cable companies sitting on their thumbs.
I'd like better latency and upstream performance, but overall
I really can't complain. Most days it works better than the
T1 connection at work - and here I can download whatever I
want (gotta visit BMWfilms).

<< Are you running any servers from your connection? >>

Not at present, but researching doing some p2p action soon.

<< What service contract term did you accept? Monthly, 1 year, or 2 years? >>

2 years. I figure by then I can recheck the DSL and cable options to see
if they are up to speed.

Also, I've had it since around April, and the only major outage was when
a freak blizzard knocked out the radio tranmitter on top of Cheyenne Mountain.
It goes out once a week for maintenace, but so far I haven't hit that downtime
to a degree that I notice.

I've had Sprint BBD for about a year now. I'm in the San Francisco area. Since the time that I got it installed, I have not yet got a billing charge for the service. =P Free installation, free equipment, no montly charges, no contract. =P I don't know why this is, but I really don't have a complaint about it. =P Here's a post for more info about the non-charge stuff for me. =P

Sprint BBD

Their service is pretty good. I'm happy about it. There are days where it isn't too good, but there are days with it's excellent. There was a time, before I started networking the 4 comps in the house together, where I got 800 kb/sec.
