Anyone have satellite connection?

Had a couple questions just got mine hooked up Thursday. The guy who installed it told me that my sat will be downloading from the main sat for the first 48 hours so it will probably run slower then normal after that it should run fine. Did yours do this? How does it run when it's cloudy out or raining?
 
It'll be slowed down by interference. Something as simple as a leaf would provide enough interference to KILL your signal. :Q

Did you get Direcway or something else?
 
It's going to be a lot like satellite tv, in terms of interference. If you have a clear view to the satellite, you won't have any worries, except for bad weather.
