ive never really used the Maps app on my phone until recently.
Ive been rooted since day one, running all types of rom. GPS location works via wifi. Ive never used it for the turn by turn GPS, always had someone else in the car use their phones.
But now i was forced to use mines and it didn't work. At first i thought maybe my case or wireless charging insert was the problem took both off and still nothing. I changed into another kitkat rom and still nothing. I went to and old 4.2 rom and still nothing.
By nothing i mean this. I look up a place say down the road from me. It gives me detailed time and path to drive. But it doesn't lock on to a SAT signal. it just triangluate using cell signal. So i dont get the turn by turn.
Im out of warranty. I'm going to try another rom. The phone works great. Google Now works nicely. It knows where i'm at. I just dont have SAT signal. I downloaded this app called " GPS STATUS" and it can never lock on to a signal via SAT.
