Anyone have RAID tweaking advice?

Happy holidays all. I just built a new box for a friend that consists of a Giga-Byte GA-7DXR m/b with a retail AMD XP 1800+ CPU w/ 512MB of OCZ PC2400 DDR RAM. Theres also a Hercules Prophet GeForce 3 card installed with 2 W-D 40GB hard drives hooked up in RAID 0. It's all sealed in a Antec full tower with an Enermax 350W power supply. It was a mother to get up and running with WIN XP but I think I have "most" of the bugs ironed out. I just can't figure why it locks occasionally or goes brain dead when opening certain programs. It loads RTC Wolfenstein like a house on fire but the occasional brain f**t has me most annoyed. I downloaded the latest drivers for the North & Southbridge from Gigabyte and that seemed to help but I'm still getting lockups. I'll admit I'm a bit new to the RAID arena and was wondering if anyone had experience with either my listed problem or setting up RAID in general. Any advice would be appreciated. 😕
 
Has anyone out there configured a RAID system with Windows XP recently?
I'd be interested to hear what problems, if any, were encountered.

My GA-7DXR is up and running w/ Raid 0 & WinXP just fine.

I used the Raid drivers located here and that was it. I haven't loaded any 4in1 drivers or anything else.

Have you run Windows Update on this machine yet? I'm sure that there are some compatibility updates out there.
