i started playing around then...i used to play that game for like 3-4 hours a day for a few years...now i just play occasionally...i still get called a bot every now and again sometimes though

LOL The good old days gaming Quake 2 was the most addictive game ever, I swear I must have played at least 4-5 hours a day of pure DM
Q2DM1, Q2DM2, Q2DM3, DM8, and a bunch of other custom maps ruled. The railgun was awesome, as were some of the great camping spots in thge game.. Quake 2 was so intense, no other online DM game has come close to the fun and gore of Q2.

I was big on quake 1/2/3, but ever since experiencing the double-strafe dodge maneuver in UT, I felt the evasive movement in quake was way too limited. id defined mouselook+circlestrafe... UT took it up a notch.

Oh man I remember my days playing Q2, I logged more hours on that game then any other FPS in my life. Was on one of the more elite instagib clans and that's pretty much all I played at the time. I remember being a little grabble monkey on the Lithium mod and people complaining and calling me a bot all the time because I could pick them off so easy in the air and they could never see me coming, heh. Those were some good times, but I must've lost a step with Q3 because I was being owned left and right when I first got into it years later, either that or people just got so much better.
