Anyone have PRP procedure done for their eye(s)?

Going in Friday morning for Panretinal Photocoagulation (PRP) procedure. With my diabetes my vision is deteriorating and this will help slow it down. It's a kind of laser procedure, so I'm curious if anyone's had it done before and what to expect. Never had any laser work done before. Interested in your experiences. I'm assuming it's similar to Lasik maybe?
