Anyone have problems with Optorite DD0201 with latest firmware? (2.5)

Unfortunatley I had too many changes at once to troubleshoot this properly.

With the 2.3 firmware I was using a stack of DVD+R blanks and never had a single issue with the drive. About the same time I upgraded the firmware to 2.5 I also started using a new stack of DVD's (-R rather than +R). Maybe just a stack of bad media, but all my recent burns are blocky and pause alot.

Anyone else experience this? Maybe I just need to buy some new DVD+R blanks.....

No problems so far, but I was running 2.3 firmware and my drive wouldn't read any of the copied movies it burned but they played beautifully in any other computer dvd or home dvd player. Upped it to the 2.5 and now it plays everything it wouldn't play before and I can finally HD burn on cheap (Imation) cdr's. I've been using Ridata and Memorex for movies.
