Anyone ever have long term problems with slightly increasing their voltages on the vcore/vdimm?? im not too worried about it but my board is a year old and im running slightly higher voltages through it. The machine is also on 24/7.

I want this to last me for years to come and just trying to get some more info on voltages.

------------------------------old post about my idle temps-------------------------

Athlon T Bred 1800+ running at 2160 mhz

Yeah, thats fine. Mine idles at what ABIT says is 48C. And loads to 54C. I have never had any stability problems.

so 54C is a safe high load temp?? after an hour of CSS or 2 hours of memtest it sits right at 45C

Yeah, the T-bred has maximum operating temperature of around 80-90C according to AMD specifications. Granted, you wouldn't want to run it that high, but I personally don't get worried about it unless the temp gets higher than 55-60C.

You're perfectly fine at 45C.

ok i upped the multiplier to 10.5, im running at 2161. Now i IDLE @ 45C, i should turn the fan around so it blows in to the HSF.

So 45C for idle temps is cool???

ok i brought it back down to 2080ish, pushed the FSB up a bit as well, i think this is a perfect standing point. Very nice OC as well, idling at 40C now constant

I've got a T-bred 2200+, and its idling at 51 right now. Normally its a bit lower, like in the high 40s, but i need to clean out the dust again.

Edit: Forgot, i have tested it with prime, and its stable ... even though the temps have been in the low 60s for some of it.

hrmmm seems i have a prime time cooling setup, im currently FTPing for over 2 hours writing a paper in word and reading AT in firefox, (which is what i consider idling) at 36C

it doenst get any higher than this unless i do something serious, aka a few hours of heavy gaming or running prime or memtest.
