Anyone have problems downloading MP3 files

after downloading files from kaza or limewire I play the song using various media software and they all have skips or tick sound on the file. does anyone else get this? suggestions please..... 😕:frown:😕

i don't have single problem with playing them back. i am currently downloading music now. have you tried playing them on another computer.
 
yes I have, and still the same thing. I have two nice systems and they both seem to do it. I also try to burn using a TDK burner and the skips are in the copy. when playing them in my truck or on my comp they have the skip. So I thought it might be in the download(corrupted) and not the system or the different software i use to play the files......... Just guessing have no clue........ perhaps some sort of conflict????
 
It happends about 50% of the time. Some downloads worse then others. My video downloads (reuters news) will hickup as well although not as much. I have a decent machine- P4 1.9, 256 rambus 800 ram, GF 2 pro video, Audigy sound, Th711- raid MB, Win 2k pro, Latest drivers, and a Direct tv dsl (formaly Telocity) the connection seems solid however it is not all that fast (right at the limit)
