I wonder if the Internet will end up killing off MLM companies since we can buy similar products online and more available information on how they are just legal pyramid schemes.

You underestimate the stupidity of people.

"More available information" LOL. MLM works because they brainwash you into thinking you're part of their team. Once that's set, our human brains are stupid as fack + they already bought the products with their money, so they have to move it themselves.

Why do antivaxxers still exist today?

They do the same with our typical jobs as well "We're all a team! We depend on one another! That's why you're on call this weekend. Oh David died? Too bad, who wants to take his responsibilities?"

Twice, through an acquaintance and close relative. They showed lots of phamplets. Of course I knew from the get go reaching that level income claimed by the people already in this scheme. someone else is not making any real $$$ with the time they spend. It was too good to be true., unbelievable on how many people fall for this.

Never known anyone who was involved in this stuff. Is it about stupidity or greed? I suppose people might join in _knowing_ it's a con, but hoping they are in early enough to be the trickster rather than the mark?

Apparently almost the entire population of Albania got swept up in them after the fall of communism. They thought that's how you do "capitalism".

That basically is how you do capitalism, the top get rich, the bottom don't get much. These schemes DO work, but only for the ones on top. Just like a corporation. The big wigs on top make all the money and the bottom workers make just enough to get by. In some cases they have to fight for their rights and for their jobs, which is why there are unions. A good example of this is Amazon and how they treat their workers.

The big wigs make more at the top because they have unique and rare skillsets that many people do not. Supply and demand, etc...

Don't tell me you're one of those silly folks that wants to believe "Socialism works, it's just that every country before didn't do it right".

Many moons ago, some guy tried to get me into a gold coin mlm scheme. Get recruited, recruit, win... So I researched it and the members were paying well over the going price for gold. Some messed up part of our state law said that if the "sale" price of the item was +25% more than the actual price then the mlm was O.K. :confused_old:

When I explained it to him, he just about blew a gasket. "How could they cheat me like that?" A fool and their $$....
