Anyone have news regarding Dell's 24" LCD?

Looks good, but 25ms doesn't cut it. I believe its based off Samsung 243T which is pretty nice.

You're right that 25ms is not sufficient for gaming (hell, even so-called "16ms" isn't THAT great IMO - and I have a 2005FPW), but if you have anything less than a 6800GT/6800U SLI setup (and/or only play games that are several years old), would you really be buying this 1920x1200 monitor for gaming anyway?

Thanks for the info...I was about to buy the 2005fp, but I'll wait a few days for this to come out. If the regular price is ~$1200, I'll bet there will be deals around $900!

its the same panel as the samsung 243T. i'd still get the samsung over it just for looks and the name unless the dell one is $$$$ cheaper.

hope you're not doing gaming, you'll encounter a lot of ghosting 😉

My biggest complaint with the 243T was not sluggish pixel response but digital noise. The monitor always appeared to be displaying 16bit colour, sometimes worse.

The Apple monitors are far superior. I wish they pivoted (portrait mode) and had a DVI connector on the monitor instead of the goofy box with USB/1394 but at least it takes standard DVI.

Cheers!
