Anyone have links to articles on 1 gig vs 2 gig RAM for (fairly) modern games?

I bought 2 gigs of RAM (G.skill) and after a few months one of the sticks went bad. I currently have it RMA'd, but I just bought Call of Duty 4. Will my frame rate be hit much / at all by playing it with just the 1 gig stick, instead of waiting until I get my 2nd stick back? Any article links would be appreciated.
