Anyone have Freshlook contacts? How do you tell if they are inside out?

Normally contacts bow on the sides if they are inside out but these don't. They supposedly have an inside-out indicator that says FL, but I don't know if you are supposed to look from the side or from the top.

there has got to be a better answer than that. I don't want to have to do that every time.

um, if the len is wider (outward) then you should reverse to make it shorter (bowl-like.)

123 is printed on the lens. If you can read it right side up, the lens is correct side out. Its hard to find initially but after you find it once you wont have a problem.

I always just do the blink test right after I put the lens in. If I can blink quickly without it moving around, and there is no air underneath it's good to go. If it moves while I'm blinking or just feels weird it's time to try the other side. It's really not hard to tell when it's not properly in, just by the way it feels on the eye.

I drew this to help you out.

You might have to hold the contacts lens closer to your eyes, depending on how blind you are with naked eyes.

They all bow out. Just look closer.

I wear them and have trouble telling myself. I try to keep them "oriented" so I put them in correctly each time, but it is hard to tell. The toric lens is easy, but the regular one is difficult.

If it feels bad I just pull it out and invert it. Never heard of these numbers, when I take them out tonight I'm going to have to look for them.

Yeah. That's what I assumed. I've never worn soft lenses and neither has my mom. When she got them she had the most trouble in the world telling and I had to guess. We've both been hard lens users, and so honestly I hoped I was right, but my techniques were illustrated in that drawing perfectly. I hoped I was right because I've heard people say how painful it is to wear them inside out.

My freshlook mantra: F is to the upper left of the L.

You put them on your finger like you are about to put them in and look down through them at your finger tip. If you can read the F and the L properly then you put them in.

So glad I have torics. They bend and bow in a weird, "no way this will fit in your eye" shape when inside-out. Even then, I think there are letters imprinted on them to help me figure it out, but I haven't found them yet.

My best suggestion is to flip the same contact in and out a bunch of times, and see if one has a "normaler" shape.
