lol, thankfully I'm not needing to get on food stamps... but my neighbor, an older lady living alone... wants to.
She was wondering since she has a whole life insurance policy, it would easily disqualify her. Strange, I heard a life insurance policy cannot be counted against you because it is not a liquid resource... Therefore she doesn't have to cash it out and get rid of it... and take the cash and hide it under her rug.
See the other thing is you're not supposed to have more than 3,000.00 all bank accounts... again, what I heard.
Lastly, she owns the home, but owning a home does not disqualify you, again.. not liquid resource.
anyway, does anyone have knowledge on this topic? Thanks.
