I got two 256MB sticks of PC166 for $45 each. Unfortunatly, they won't run along side the Mosel that I already had--they SEEM to run fine by themselves. I will get by just fine with the 512MB...I just need to test the stability over the next couple days...I am just curious if anyone else has had compatability problems with this RAM.

I am running it on an ASUS P3V4X at 146FSB Cas 2-2-2. The other RAM was two 128MB sticks of Mushkin Hand-Picked with Mosel Vitalec Rev.2. The Mosel has been running at that speed for about a year w/ no problems by itself.

Yo...let me know how that turns out because I am planning to get 2x 256MB sticks of that on monday. 🙂

If you want, email me in a couple days & I'll let you know if it holds up. So far so good, running it by itself. I don't expect any problems since it is technically running well-below specs.

Where did you get the 2 sticks for so cheap from? Can you PM me with the place? I'm interested in that stuff 🙂

I had great luck with about 8 different 256MB modules. All of them did the rated 150 2-2-2 and 166 3-3-3, and I pushed them as high as 170 without a problem. Very good memory, IMHO, just not a big name. I bought them when they were $96 for a 256MB module, and for $40-$45, these are a freakin' steal!

Got them for $45 a stick at Neutron.com...also got two 128MB sticks of generic PC133 for $13 each.
Shipping was $25 for all four.

The last time I bought RAM (last fall), I paid $170 a stick for 128MB of Mosel !!! 🙁
