I am considering getting this monitor with my tax refund money, anyone have any experience with them? I am going to stick with KDS because my VS-195 19" has treated well for over 3 years with no problems. Also, Outpost.com has them with free overnight shipping. Thanks in advance..
 
Very good monitor, it uses the Sony Trinitron tube. Some say alot of their monitors are defective, but since they have an excellent customer service, I wouldn't be worried.
 
Thanks, I had heard that they used similar components to Sony. I think $749 with free overnight shipping is a pretty good deal considering the Sony goes for over $1000..thanks again. 🙂

Yes, but the places that have them that cheap add like $50-$75 for shipping...these 21" AG Monitors are heavy! Also, my KDS has treated well for over 3 years, so I think I will give them another chance. If it sucks, I can use their "KARES" warranty program to return it. I mean $749 with free overnight shipping and that nice 3 year warranty where they overnight a new one to you and pay to have it shipped back is a real good deal. Thanks..

Lore uses it and has very good experiences with it. He got it after returning multiple sony's and mitsu's.

 
I have one of those AV-21. Yup, I ordered it from outpost.com through Airbone overnight. Some one, most likely workers in Airbone, broke the box, stole the sofftware inside.

As far as the monitor goes, the monitor has tons of options to tweak for. No, it wasn't set right out of the box. I almost returned the monitor because I though it was defective🙂 Once set, it is near perfect, text in the coners are a bit fuzzy, out of focus.

Oh, I do have a KDS AV-19, love it, and that's why I go for the KDS again.

 
I'd say it is identical to the 19" version except is obviously bigger. And as far as the 19" version goes, it seems to recieve good feedback on these forums, though I've read several threads talking about them being defective often. Or sometimes in a month or two it just dies. However, they have a great warranty service and if you have a defective one you can get a new one next-day air, they pay shipping.

I think it's a good 21" though the Samsung 1200NF is probably better. The Sony is overpriced.
 
Thanks everyone, I will check the Samsung out, it seems Outpost does not carry it. And thanks for the side by side..not too much bigger huh? I need a second monitor otherwise I don't think it would make much of difference for just upgrade purposes. 🙂
