So I was dropping off a bunch of old monitors and printers at the e-recycling bins and like any good self respecting computer picker.... I left with something. It caught my eye because I thought it was a new looking widescreen 22" monitor. However, low and behold it's a Dell XPS All in One A2010. Full glass touch screen, hover media keys, memory, TV tuner, hard drive, the works.
The thing boots up, the fans all spin, the hard drive seems to spin up, the blue leds go on but I get a white screen of death. Doesn't even access Bios or any kind of OS. I get one small beep. Does anyone have any experience with these? Does this sound like it needs a new video card or LCD? I did the normal swapping memory and checking cable stuff. Googled a bit and people seem to think it's a whole new LCD but I don't know my way around these at all. The thing is so nice, I figured I could do something with it...(aside from just parting it out). I would love to throw Windows 8 on this thing. It retailed for about $2,000 4 years ago.
Thanks!
