Anyone have experience with generic Canon batteries?

I have a canon ZR65 camcorder and was looking to buy another battery for it. There is a 9.5 hour recording time battery for $130 on the canon website, but i found many generic versions on ebay for as low as $12 shipped. I also saw that most had different mAh ratings than the official canon battery (BP-535), which i took to mean that they are not quite the same battery...

Does anybody have any experience with generic (non-OEM) batteries for canon products? Thanks.
