I want to replace my front bumper and passenger side fender. I found a good site to buy aerosol cans for the matching color of my vehicle:
http://www.paintscratch.com/

OPTION 1:
eBay has good deals on some of these parts and they are already primed.

So I am thinking to just buy the primed part, sand it down, spray on a few layers of basecoat, then clearcoat, and bam...install the part. Is it going to be that easy or is there something I am overlooking?

Also, one can covers about 6 sqft...I need to paint an entire bumper and one fender, so how many cans do you guys think Ill need?

OPTION 2:
Go to junkyard, hope they have the part for my car (its 2002, so I dunno), sand down the part, primer, basecoat, clearcoat and bam...install the part.

Let a body shop paint the parts. As the paint on a car ages due to time
and sunlight, along with acid rain, the colors change slightly. A body shop
will know how to mix the color correctly so it properly matches. Also on the
bumper, if it is a urethane or soft bumper, the paint needs an elasticiser
added to it, so it will flex and not crack as the bumper flexes. If all you want
the shop to do is prep it and paint it, the cost will not be more than $200 - $400
depending on the shop and the area.

I'd stick with the professinals body work is no joke

get them to match the color best they can, and use your existing bumpers/fender as long as they are not heavily damaged
