Anyone have experience flashing a vidoe card bios? Good/Bad?

Best advise, read the instructions that come with the flash carefully.
Make a backup first
Some do it in windows, some Dos
If your not sure don't do it.
I know Iv'e done it with my old TNT Ultra a couple of times, but it's important to follow the instructions carefully.
If you don't have problems don't flash

flashing a video bios is much more dangerous than mobo bios
there are usually three versions of nvidia bios, one stripped, one dvi, one dvi+tv, and not all bios update have all three avail
you MUST save old. http://zoiah.m3dzone.com has a "dump bios" prog to do this

SGI writes their own bios for their nvidia based cards, which are much better, but you really gotta know what youre doing to correlate their card with yours.

Flashed the bios of my CLAP because it would boot up showing only 16Mb instead of 32. Worked fine afterwards. Don't do it if your card works fine, don't be stupid into thinking you will get more fps.

Peace

Just like MrWhiteUK Said, don't flash it if eveything seems to be working fine and only to expect more FPS! Higher FPS is more of a function of the driver. Feel free to update to the latest driver but make sure you always back up!😎
