do you usually get your check deposited before the day youre supposed to get your check? like say i get paid tomorrow, will i get it sometime today? if so, when do they usually try to deposit it?

Bank days run from 2PM to 2PM the following day so technically the funds should be available after 2PM today for a deposit dated the 27th.

My direct deposit is usually credited on the morning of payday. Unless pay day is a federal holiday, a weekend or monday then I get paid the last day when proof was processed which 99% of the time is Friday night, it will appear in my account Saturday morning and is available for withdrawal.

I get my voided check on thursday, but my paycheck gets deposited at 12:01 am on Wednesday night/Thursday Morning. It beats getting a check at 4pm, then having to go to my bank and waiting for the funds to be available the next day

Same here but for me I get the check @11:30 am and the had to wait till I got off to put it in the bank.

I usually have it listed the day before the actual payday. But it doesn't matter since you cannot be guaranteed that you will have access to it for the next few days anyways. Any bank can legally choose to refuse to let you use the money for up to roughly 7 days after the date that is listed (the exact number varies with type of deposit and payer's bank). These laws were made to end the bank runs that helped cause the great depression. So you are warned if you try to use it right away - 99.9% of the time you will be just fine, but that 0.1% of the time will possilby end you in jail.

yes, my account is usually creditted the night before. UNLESS, the 1st (payday) falls on a Sunday. Then it is either deposited Monday or Friday... I can't remember which.

Yep. Direct deposit is mandatory for all LA DOTD employees. However, I started at the beginning of the month. It will take 2 or 3 pay periods before mine starts.

I have heard that the money is deposited early on the morning of pay day.
