Anyone have Comcast Basic Cable?

If so, what channels are in your lineup? Their web site is misleading. You'd think that all of their packages have the same channel listing!

Don't believe those bloodsucking vultures

i have channels 1-71 on basic cable...i think its about $55 a month(including internet)

That's standard cable.

Yeah, there is a BIG difference between standard and basic. Enhanced Cable costs $1.00 less per month!

if you click the Channel Lineup button for each package, they all go to the same link:

Line Up

At the top of that page, it says,

Whoah! Did you realize how many channels are available in your area? Select a package from the drop-down menu above and you?ll find all the fantastic programming packages and channels currently available for you.

What drop-down menu?

You can remove the prohibitor from your outside box, and you'll get all the normal channels. My parents haven't paid for about 8 years. Ours broke and comcast was supposed to install a new prohibitor. My parents called 3 times and the comcast guy just winked at them and went on his way.

Illegal as hell too.

You get the local channels, the chicago channel (baseball games), discovery, golf channel, the travel channel, and OLN. $18/month.

Hey my parents tried to get it fixed, it's not their fault the comcast guy "fixed" the problem 3 times

I think Expanded Basic is what I am looking for.

Yep.

In our area Comcast offers two basic analog packages:

Basic about 13 channels is around $13.50
Extended or enhanced basic about 65 channels in around $48.00

My filter is up on the poll near the street, about 20-30? feet up.

Do yourself a favor and buy an anetnna and an HD tuner. The only channels you might actually miss are history, espn and comedy central.

Their basic basic $15 lineup has only a few channels...but everyplace I've lived has had all the other network channels come through. I don't think they ever bother with checking their filters. The other awesome thing is that their $15 lineup still qualifies you for the $10 discount with their cable internet.
